The Barrel is made by the Precision Cold Forging process for greatly increased life and improved accuracy. Bore and chamber are hard chrome plated for extra life and resistance to corrosion. The MG4A5 and MG4A6 both provide the individual soldier operating in close quarters the capability to engage targets at extended range with accurate, lethal fire. Parts interchangeability with the M16A2 exceeds 80%.
